About SoFi Stadium
SoFi Stadium opened in 2020 as the home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. It is the most expensive stadium ever built, at approximately $5.5 billion, and sits within the Hollywood Park development in Inglewood — about 3 miles east of LAX.
For the 2028 Olympics, SoFi will host the Opening Ceremony on July 14, 2028, the Closing Ceremony, and Athletics (track and field) events. The stadium's 70,240-seat capacity and retractable translucent roof make it LA28's showpiece venue.
