About Downtown LA

Contrary to what some visitors assume, Los Angeles has a real, dense downtown. DTLA is a collection of distinct neighborhoods packed into a roughly 5-mile radius: the Historic Core (Broadway theaters, Spring Street architecture), Arts District (converted warehouses, galleries, restaurants), Little Tokyo (Japanese-American cultural hub), Chinatown, the Financial District, and South Park, where Crypto.com Arena and L.A. Live sit.

For the 2028 Olympics, DTLA is the most strategically located base. Crypto.com Arena (Basketball, Boxing) is walkable from most downtown hotels. Metro lines to SoFi Stadium, UCLA, and the Rose Bowl all connect through 7th/Metro Center — the main transit hub.
