About The LA City Guide

Last updated: June 2026

The LA City Guide is an independent travel and planning resource for people visiting Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We built this site for one simple reason: planning a trip to Los Angeles can get confusing fast. The city is spread out, neighborhoods feel very different from one another, traffic can completely change a day, and major event planning usually involves much more than just buying tickets. People also want practical answers — like where to stay, how to get around, what areas fit their style and budget, where to eat near venues, and how to turn a sports trip into a good Los Angeles experience.

That is what this site is for.

What we do

We publish practical, independently written guides to help visitors:

Our goal is not to overwhelm people with every possible detail. Our goal is to make the city easier to understand and easier to plan.

How we work

We are independent

The LA City Guide is independently operated. We are not affiliated with LA28, the International Olympic Committee, the City of Los Angeles, or any official Olympic organizing body.

Some parts of this site may include sponsored placements, affiliate links, featured listings, or paid partnerships. When that happens, we aim to label them clearly.

Why trust this site

This site is built around visitor usefulness, not hype. We want to help people make better decisions about where to stay, how to move around Los Angeles, what to prioritize, and how to avoid common planning mistakes.

Because Los Angeles and the Games planning process can both change over time, we encourage readers to verify official event, ticketing, transit, airport, and visa information with the relevant official sources before making final decisions.
